San Francisco

I love San Francisco. LOVE.  I cannot imagine leaving. ever.  I would sell a kidney to pay the the high rent prices that it costs to live here.  I love to explore the City.  Even just a walk.  You really get to know a city on foot.  Hubs and I make it our goal to explore every city on foot as much as is possible.  And our home city is no exception.

This past Saturday we went to the Ferry Building Farmers Market and afterward just walked a new route through FiDI.  It was so nice!

Ferry Building Farmer's Market - we definitely bought some of this fruit.  The grapes were so delicious.

Westin St. Francis and Union Square.

Peek-a-boo! Its the Transamerica Building!

San Francisco imported these trolley cars from around the world.

Top of the Mark:  Free Movie & Wine Tasting Tuesdays

So although I love San Francisco, there's a small problem: I am still a student, so that means enjoying San Francisco on a limited, eh, little to no budget.

So I really, really, really LOVE enjoying San Francisco on the cheap or free.  So I almost died when I found out that the Mark Hopkins Hotel screens classic movies and does a FREE wine tasting every Tuesday from about May through September.

On Tuesday some friends and decided to take advantage of this free event.  But, alas fate was  not on our side.  Although the event starts at 5:30, there are only 8 or so tables for the event and they were all taken! Maybe it was a message that we should not spend the first Tuesday of classes watching movies and drinking wine.  But the views were so amazing so we stuck around and enjoyed some free wine!

Wine!
